Dr. Janelle Brown, PT, DPT

Founder and CEO of Oshun Health and Wellness


Oshun health and Wellness (OHW) was founded by Dr. Janelle Brown, PT, DPT and her spouse Brian Patterson. Originally from Pompano Beach, FL, Janelle received her bachelors in Pre-Physical Therapy and Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Florida A&M University. Dr. Brown is pelvic health certified through the American Physical Therapy Association.

Brian Patterson is a native of Jacksonville, FL. He received his Bachelors in Health Care Management from Florida A&M University. Brian has years of healthcare Administration experience and currently over sees all financial and administrative functions of OHW.

After working with numerous patients, Dr. Brown noticed that many clients faced barriers to receiving care. That is where the idea for Oshun Health and Wellness mobile services was born. OHW eliminates barriers to care such as difficulties with transportation, finding child care, and functional mobility. Dr. Brown has a strong passion for pelvic floor PT and continues to be inspired by the positive changes her patients undergo after treatment. Including: elimination of chronic conditions, dispelling myths surrounding women and mens health, and helping clients improve their bladder, bowel, and sexual function that many thought would be lifelong deficits.
